A key developer and manufacturer of automotive and industrial battery making equipment operating around the world for a half-century, MAC Engineering is an innovator and trend setter.

MAC Engineering World Headquarters

Following its incorporation, MAC produced its first machine -- an SLI cast-on-strap unit. This was quickly followed by Pasting and Plate Drying equipment for both automotive and industrial battery production. An automotive Plate Parter was then introduced to the industry.

Located in "the U.S.A's tool box", the company's work force is highly skilled and efficient -- an ideal combination for manufacturing quality equipment.

In May 1979, the company moved into a 1,951 square meter building located on nearly 25,000 square meters of land in a nearby Benton Harbor, Michigan industrial park. An additional 1,115 square meter production area was added to MAC's plant in January of 1981.

The quality and performance of MAC's plate pasters and drying ovens has made this equipment the world's most popular. MAC battery-making machines are in use in over 50 countries.

MAC is continually looking to the future to develop new products. Over the years, MAC has introduced numerous new machines including Platemaking equipment, Curing equipment, Panel Parters, Cast on Strap Machines for both automotive and industrial batteries, Acid Fillers, Heat Seal, Short Testers and Leak Testers, and Continuous Expanded Metal Plate production under the names COMAC and MAC a.c.p.

In 2005, MAC sold its Linklater Oxide equipment line to Eagle Oxide Systems of Indianapolis, Indiana. MAC has acquired an equity position in Eagle and will take the Sales and Marketing position of the association. Now, MAC can offer all sizes of Linklater, Eagle Barton Oxide, Red Lead, and Ball Mill Systems.

This year on May 31st, MAC celebrated its 40th Anniversary. We would like to thank all of the battery companies throughout the world that have helped make it possible for MAC to be as successful as they are today. With your help, MAC Engineering will be developing new and innovative equipment for the battery industry for another 40 years.

MAC is dedicated to helping to make the best batteries...yours!
